Every day Santa Barbara Charter School offers a hot lunch prepared by the Goleta Valley Jr High Cafeteria. This program is staffed completely by parent volunteers.

To order hot lunch for your student, please:

1. View the district menu at http://www.sbsdk12.org/index.shtml. Click on Nutrition and Wellness and select the month's menu
2. Email your student's name, teacher and the days you want to order lunch to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
3. Multiply the number of lunches ordered by $2.50.  Each student must be paid for separately.  Checks are made to Goleta Valley Jr High and should be in the office by the "lunch orders due" date (this date is in the Wednesday news under "Upcoming Events")

Please keep in mind the following:

The district calendar is not the same as SBCS.  Double check the SBCS calendar for teacher work days and holidays that may not be reflected on the district menu.

Specify vegetarian meals when ordering (this includes cheese pizza).  Vegetarian meals may or may not mirror the menu entree.

Be aware off allergies.  Volunteers can make note of a student's allergies but the cafeteria may or may not be able to accommodate food allergies.

SBCS orders on a monthly basis.  That is the first school day to the last school day of the month.  Payment is expected for the entire month.

If a student is absent from school for any reason on a day lunch was ordered and paid for, then that lunch is forfeited.

Parents may order lunch.  Adult lunch is $3.50 and includes salad bar.  Specify any adult orders with student orders.

Remind your student to go to the lunch line on the days they have ordered lunch.  Teachers may or may not accompany students to the lunch line.
